How many driving lessons do I need? The number of driving lessons you need can vary significantly based on several factors, including your previous driving experience, your confidence level, and how quickly you learn and master driving techniques. Here is a general guideline based on one competitor's recommendations: New Driver No Driving Experience: If you have no prior driving experience, it is recommended to take at least 7 to 10 hours of driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor. For less confident learners, booking up to 20 hours of instruction might be necessary. This ensures that you not only pass your driver’s test but also become a safe and competent driver. Some Driving Experience: If you have had some driving experience, perhaps with a family member or friend, it is recommended to take at least 5 to 7 hours of driving instruction to fine-tune your skills and prepare for the driving test. International Driver’s Licence Holders Preparation for Test: International driver’s licence holders typically book about 2 to 3 hours of driving instruction to prepare for the local driving test. However, due to a high failure rate in this category, it is advisable to start with at least 3 to 5 hours of lessons. Personalised Assessment After your first lesson, your driving instructor will be in the best position to assess how many driving lessons you should take. This assessment will be based on: Your previous driving experience, if any Your confidence level How quickly you appear to learn and master driving techniques Please note that these ranges are a general guide and can vary from learner to learner. Your instructor will tailor the recommendation to fit your specific needs and learning pace.

Do you provide vehicles for lessons, or do I need my own car?We provide vehicles for all driving lessons, so you don’t need to worry about having your own car yet. We are equipped with 5-star ANCAP safety rated vehicles. Our vehicle features the latest technology and safety features, including dual controls, to offer extra support to learners who aren’t yet confident on the roads. Our instructors hold formal qualifications in car driving instruction and have full comprehensive insurance, including Public Liability and Professional Indemnity. This ensures a safe and professional learning experience for all our students.
-
Can a parent/guardian sit in on a lesson?Yes, parents or guardians can sit in the backseat during a learner’s lesson or part of it if desired. This allows you to observe the lesson, pick up tips and tricks to support your role as a supervising driver, and get to know your instructor better. However, after sitting in on one lesson, we recommend allowing the instructor and student to work together independently to ensure they can focus on developing their road craft skills without distractions. If you would like to sit in on a lesson, please discuss this option with your instructor.
