Learner Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
This Agreement governs the use of the Shortcut Driving Pty Ltd platform (“Shortcut Driving”) by you (“Learner”). It also includes the Driving Test Consent and Responsibility Form if you use an instructor’s vehicle.
2. Parties
Shortcut Driving is a platform that connects learners with independent instructors. You enter this Agreement as a user of the platform.
3. Term of Agreement
Effective upon acceptance and remains in force until terminated by either party.
4. Capacity to Drive
You must hold a valid learner permit or licence. The agreement is void without it.
5. Platform Nature and Relationship

Shortcut Driving is a booking platform, not a driving school.

Instructors are independent providers, not agents or employees.

The learner forms a direct agreement with the instructor.

Shortcut Driving is not liable for instructor conduct.

Learners are responsible for personal and vehicle safety.
6. Use of the Platform
You may:

Create a learner profile

Compare and book instructors

Leave reviews
-
Access learning resources
Shortcut Driving may change platform features anytime.
7. Learner Responsibilities
You must:

Understand and accept the agreement

Hold a valid permit or licence
Parents/guardians of underage learners are financial guarantors. Others acting on your behalf are jointly liable.
8. Platform Conduct
You must:

Keep login credentials confidential

Provide accurate info
-
Use the platform appropriately
-
Not contact instructors outside the platform
-
Not use the platform for unrelated promotions
9. Warranty

Shortcut Driving complies with Australian Consumer Law

Liability limited to resupplying services or covering cost
10. Learner Conduct
You must:

Arrive on time

Follow directions

Avoid distractions
-
Act respectfully and safely

Not offer bribes

Indemnify Shortcut Driving against loss due to misconduct
11. Taxes
You’re responsible for any related taxes.
12. Payment Terms

Payments processed immediately

Credit card use must be authorised

Platform credits:

Non-refundable/non-transferable

Expire after 6 months

May be used for platform purposes

Shortcut Driving may reverse transactions

You agree to Stripe and PayPal terms
13. Refunds
Granted if:

Fraudulent payment

Instructor fails to deliver

Breach of platform terms confirmed
14. Promotions
Subject to third-party terms.
15. Policies
You agree to the Privacy Policy and any posted updates.
16. Rescheduling by Learners

Free if >48 hrs before lesson

Full fee if <48 hrs

Emergency rescheduling at Shortcut Driving's discretion with documentation
17. Cancellation by Instructors
You may choose a new instructor or request a refund/credit.
18. Pricing
Booking fees are subject to change and are shown before payment.
19. Reviews
Must be genuine, unbiased, and not incentivised.
20. Termination
Shortcut Driving may suspend/cancel your account for breach. You may cancel anytime.
21. Confidentiality
Non-public information must be kept confidential.
22. Governing Law
The applicable Australian state or territory law applies.
23. Driving Lessons & Test Consent
Use of Instructor’s Vehicle:

Instructor provides vehicle

Instructor may stop lesson for safety

You’re responsible for performance and any damages

You must disclose medical conditions
Acknowledgement:
Using the instructor’s vehicle confirms agreement.
24. Dispute Resolution
First attempt informal resolution; otherwise, proceed to mediation.
25. Force Majeure
Shortcut Driving is not liable for disruptions beyond its control.
26. Amendments
Terms may change; updates apply upon publication.
27. Data Protection
Handled per Privacy Policy. You may access or amend your data.
28. Intellectual Property
All platform content is owned by Shortcut Driving.
29. Vehicle Condition
You may be liable for cleaning or damage beyond normal use.
30. Driver Responsibility
You must:

Follow road rules and instructor directions
31. Feedback & Complaints
Submit via contact form; Shortcut Driving reviews them promptly and confidentially.
32. Severability
If part is unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
